Wide receivers Isaiah Hodgins, Allen Robinson, and Miles Boykin; tight ends Lawrence Cager, Jack Stoll, and Jakob Johnson (who also plays fullback); running back Dante Miller; offensive linemen Jimmy Morrissey, Joshua Miles, Jalen Mayfield, and Marcellus Johnson; defensive tackle Casey Rogers; inside linebackers Darrian Beavers and K.J. Cloyd; outside linebacker Tomon Fox; cornerbacks Darnay Holmes, Tre Herndon, David Long, Jr., and Alex Johnson; safety Raheem Layne; and kicker Jude McAtamney, who did not count against the 90-man roster due to his international status.
Matt Adams, a quadruple inside linebacker, was placed on injured reserve with the intention of returning.
Isaiah McKenzie, WR, was put on injured reserve due to a foot injury.
Outside linebacker Ovie Oghoufo (hamstring), offensive lineman Jalen Mayfield (lower leg/ankle), and cornerback Mario Goodrich (hamstring) were all listed as released or injured.
Matt Nelson, an offensive lineman, was let go on Monday.
Before the layoffs were made public, Coach Brian Daboll addressed the media; hence, he refrained from disclosing any information on the roster changes. For the first time in his three seasons, he did state that the Giants will start three quarterbacks, thus Tommy DeVito joins Daniel Jones and Drew Lock in that room.
“The roster is dynamic,” stated Daboll. “A lot of topics are still being debated at the moment. However, this is the 53 (men roster) original, if you will.”
The Giants have all six of their 2024 draft selections available. Elijah Chatman, a defensive tackle, is the sole undrafted rookie this year who made the squad. Wide receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton, who was a rookie free agent the previous season but missed the whole campaign after tearing his ACL in the last preseason game, is also included in the 53.
On April 12, seven-year veteran Adams signed a free agency contract with the Giants. He has participated in four postseason games for the Colts and Browns, and he has appeared in 85 regular-season games with 13 starts for Indianapolis, Chicago, and Cleveland. His career stats include 34 tackles, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, and 64 tackles (44 solo), as well as one fumble recovery on defence.
