In the video of Dell after the Texans’ training camp, the fan said that he would
get the signature tatted on his leg if Dell signed it, and he fulfilled his promise.
It’s fair for fans to be excited about Dell after the rookie season he put together
last year. The third-round pick had 709 receiving yards and seven touchdowns,
playing just 11 games due to a season-ending fractured left fibula suffered in December.
If he performed that well in his first year in the league, there’s no telling what kind of leap he will make this year.
Dell is part of an exciting offense that seems to be on its way to leading the
Texans to a big year. His fellow rookie, quarterback CJ Stroud, also had a
tremendous initial year in the league with 4,108 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns.
Houston’s offense added another weapon this offseason, landing Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills. After reaching the
divisional round in the playoffs last season, the Texans appear to be on the rise.
As for the fan who inked Dell’s name on his leg, he’ll hope the wide receiver is in Houston to stay.
