Seven-time Nascar Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson is set to return to the seat of the No. 84 car for Legacy Motor Club in 2024.
The semi-retired Nascar legend will compete in at least three races, the team announced on Tuesday. AdventHealth, which previously partnered with Trackhouse Racing and Chip Ganassi Racing, will move over to sponsor Johnson in three races. The healthcare firm will also sponsor Erik Jones’ No. 43 car in six races in 2024.
“This is a wonderful day for Legacy M.C.,” Johnson said in a statement. “AdventHealth believes health should be measured in terms of the whole person — body, mind and spirit. This partnership is a natural fit for our club and I know we will do great things together. I can’t wait for this season to get started.”
Johnson will compete in the AdventHealth colors at Texas Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, and in the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. The firm will be featured on Jones’ car in the Daytona 500.

AdventHealth sponsored Ross Chastain in six races in 2023 and in nine races in 2022.
In October,
Alongside Joe Gibbs Racing, Legacy Motor Club will become a second prominent team in the Toyota Racing family in 2024. In 2024, John Hunter Nemechek will drive the No. 42 car for the two-car squad. Johnson will be driving a car other than a Chevrolet for the first time in his Cup career when he makes his 2024 season debut.
will likely compete in the 2024 Daytona 500, as well as the Chicago Street Race and the return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval. However, those races were not announced in Tuesday’s schedule released by the team.
